When Did Doctors Become God?

July 3, 2006 / by denkes6231

What a weekend, I’m very angry at doctors!  Numerous incidents converged this weekend and started me thinking about negative experiences with Doctors.  When I was much younger, I thought they had all the answers, now I know they don’t.   We live our lives poorly, we do not exercise enough.   We do not have healthy diets, and we drink to much!   When a disease of life style catches up with us, many of us then expect our  doctor to provide a miracle cure.   The doctor prescribes drugs, and we take it with blind faith that the drug will solve the problem.  Then the drug causes another problem, we go back to the doctor, he prescribes another drug.  Pretty soon we have a pilldrawer full of drugs, and we are left wondering what happened.

To set the stage, let me tell you that I am a type II diabetic with high blood pressure.  I have neuropathy in my feet and retinopathy in my eyes.   Because of the neuropathy, my toes had turned almost black, and I feared eventual removal.  Two years ago I lost the ability to move my left foot.  I could no longer control a muscle in my shin.   My doctor prescribed an anti-depressant drug!   He said the drug had a beneficial side effect of improving  signal transmission in the nerves.    I took the drug for three months, never saw any benefit, and discontinued usage on my own.    A few months later my wife started distributing Reliv products because of dramatic improvement in her allergies.  Two days after she started taking the vitamin and mineral supplement her allergies disappeared and she has never had another allergy attack.    She then convinced me that I should try it and guess what?   Within two months my toes turned pink again, and in another month I could move my left foot again!     Two months later I went to my Ophthalmologist and he could find no trace of the retinopathy, he said looking into my eyes he could no longer tell I was diabetic.   He was impressed and asked me what had changed in my life?   I told him I was now taking the Reliv supplements.    His only comment was that he had never heard of such a thing.   He was not impressed!  He had never been taught in medical school that proper nutrition could solve these types of problems.   Oh well, I guess the Doctors don’t know everything.

I believe that God made us with a miraculous body.  He designed us with an auto-immune system that manufactures the drugs we need to ward off disease.   If we feed it properly, the body will take care of itself.   I heard one of our former Surgeon Generals on television state that we did not need to supplement our diets if we eat a balanced and complete diet.   Unfortunately, our soil is depleted, farmers are forced to pick our fruits and vegetables before they have fully developed their full complement of protection.     We then nuke our food and destroy valuable enzymes.   Our busy lifestyles prevent us from eating properly.  We are not getting our full complement of vitamins, minerals, enzymnes, micronutrients, antioxidants, and others.  Surprise, surprise, we are not getting the nutrition we need.

On Friday we were told that a friend needed hip replacement surgery.  Prior to learning about the need, she heard that others had experienced such great relief from arthritis through supplementation.   Last year she tried the Reliv products.  She discontinued supplementing after a week because she didn’t like how it made her urine smell.  Oh well, I guess it’s better to have a doctor replace your hip that to ingest natural vitamins and minerals.

Another friend with fibromyalgia and gum disease discontinued the product after a few months because she thought it was too expensive.  This was even though her dental hygienist had marveled at the improvements in her gums, and she admitted she had regained strength and mobility.   Oh well, I guess it’s better to have the Dentist remove your teeth, and live with the pain of fibromyalgia than to ingest a nutritional supplement.

On Friday evening, I watched a news story about a 16 year old boy with a cancerous growth.  The Doctors were treating him with chemotherapy and the cancer continued to grow at a rapid pace.   The chemo was very hard on him and each treatment brought him almost to death before the treatment was stopped.  Each treatment was then followed by a couple weeks of recovery.   The boy absolutely hated the treatment!   They heard of a Mexican clinic that performed what seemed like miracles against this type of cancer.   His father took him to the Mexican clinic, where they talked and saw many others that had experienced miraculous cures by following the prescribed alternative regimen, (primarily dietary).   The boy wanted to try it, and his father allowed it.   The growth of the cancer was lessened dramatically.   He returned to the United States and told his American Doctors that he would no longer take the chemo.  The Doctors sued his father for child neglect because they insisted the boy remain on the chemo they prescribed.  Doesn’t one have the ability to decide what is good for his own body?   Do we have to follow doctor’s orders or be sued for neglect?  Oh well, maybe we are not responsible for our own bodies.

On Saturday a customer called and wanted his money back on an Ozone generating air purifier he bought one year ago.    His daughter has severe eczema and a specialist at SF Medical center told them they shouldn’t expose the girl to Ozone.  Her father said that   she had never experienced any negative symptoms during the year they used the purifier.    The Doctor said it and, the Doctor is God!     During the same call, he told me a story about how a few weeks back, his daughter almost died because of an injection given by her Doctor.  He was treating her eczema as if it was caused by an allergic reaction.   We had previously recommended trying a nutritional supplement, which the said they couldn’t afford.   Oh well, they couldn’t afford the nutritional supplement, yet they

could afford a doctor with a treatment that almost killed her.

Doctor’s do not agree on a lot and this is an example.    After the call I researched Ozone and eczema and found information on the internet where another doctor recommends Ozone treatments for eczema, and many other medical conditions.  You can read it at:  http://www.ozonio.com.br/medical.htm   This article claims drug companies try and destroy all  medical treatments competitive to drug therapies.

On the same afternoon, another friend informed me that his daughter has a fatal disease.  He said, her doctor had prescribed too much of the drug Glucophoge, and over time the excessive dosage had caused the disease.    Her problems go back 18 years and are attributed to a Doctor.  She had a case of appendicitis that was not diagnosed until her it burst, causing tremendous internal problems including infertility.   They didn’t sue in either case because of their Christian beliefs.   It sure sounds like another case of the Doctor causing great harm!

Another friend, after years of hormone replacement therapy developed breast cancer.  Now we’re told by the medical community that women that take hormone replacements are at higher risk for breast cancer.   Meanwhile, I hear other women testify how taking vitamen supplements alleviated many of their symptoms.    Doctors continue to push the drugs!    I asked my friend if she was interested in taking a vitamin supplement, her answer:  “Oh no, I could never put something in my body that was not recommended by my doctor.”     Oh well, live with the symptoms of menopause!

My mother-in-law had small fractures in her backbone and was in great pain for a long time before she died.  She had been taking prednisone (another drug prescribed by a doctor).   According to about, com, “many people who are prescribed steroids for an inflammatory condition are not aware of the potentially serious and permanent effects that can occur with high dosages and/or prolonged use. One of these conditions is steroid-induced osteoporosis.”   You can read it here:  http://ibscrohns.about.com/cs/prednisone/a/steroideffects.htm

Another friend tells us that her osteoporosis was completely reversed and disappeared after taking Reliv dietary supplements.

While picking up my water pills last week, the pharmacist informed me that long term use of that drug caused sensitivity to light.  Oh well, I had been wondering why I was now uncomfortable in the sun.  Now I had the answer.

Medications have side effects!   While medication helps a lot of people maintain a regular life, it can also have strong side effects that make them sound, look, feel, or act differently.    Does anyone have a copy of Kevin Truddeau’s, (sp?) book on natural cures?  I heard him again on late night TV and he makes more sense everytime I hear him.

Who made the doctor God?   Must we follow blindly, or will we seek alternatives?  Will we ever learn there are consequences to the life styles we lead?
