A Never Ending Lead Supply

If you took time to read my previous articles, and are now more determined than ever to do what it takes to stay focused on your home biz until it brings you the results you are looking for. I also hope that you will continue to read these, so if you did not read yesterday’s, please Go Back and Do That Now, It covers some basic information that you will need to put into action.

Today I want to write about having a never-ending lead supply! Remember the #3 reason that folks fail in their home businesses is that they run out of folks to talk to. This is especially true if you are trying to build some sort of MLM or Network Marketing business.

The worst thing you can do is tell your new team members to go talk to their "Warm Market". Fortunately, the Internet has given us all an equal playing field. The average person now can find thousands of folks all over the world that are looking to start a home biz or add income streams to an already-established home business! Unfortunately, there are a TON of places that will gladly take your money and promise you the moon when it comes to online marketing and advertising. But, that is the secret to a never ending lead supply - You Simply Must advertise to get out of your "Warm Market". Once your business is up and running smoothly, your "Warm Market" will come to you. However, as you will see later in this article you should inform your warm market that you are in business.

There are many types of advertising mediums on the net -banners, search engines, pay for traffic, pop-ups, pop-unders, press releases, link xchanges, and the list goes on. New online advertising ideas are coming out all the time. How do you know which source to try????

If you spend your marketing dollar unwisely, you could quickly be out of business! Don't do that, I want to see you become HUGELY successful. If you pay attention to Anything listen to this. The #1 source has always been:

E-ZINE ADVERTISING

There are plenty of e-zines (Which are basically newsletters or magazines - that are mailed to subscribers. Thus the name E-zine) online that cater to specific groups of people. In fact at last count there were over 300,000 online newsletters and e-zines.

Below is just a sample of a few places you might try. These are not in any particular order!

Types of E-Zines that work best.
There are basically 3 types of ezine ads out there.

(1) Sponsor ads - these are at or near the top of the newsletter, and can pull decent for the right offer in the right publication.

(2) Classified Ads - these are normally found at or near the bottom of a publication. Many publishers no longer sell them as they have lost their effectiveness. Some publications
give them away for subscribing. If you have the time and can get one free, go ahead. If you have to pay anything for an e-zine classified -Save Your Money!

(3) The 3rd type of ad and the BEST pulling advertising vehicle we have found is what are called SOLO ADS. This type of ad is mailed all by itself, or Solo, to the publisher's entire list. Well written solo ads in the right e-zine can flood you with prospects and leads for your home business.
However, before you go spending all of your money on solo ads and waiting to hit the Jackpot, you will need to spend some time with your advertising copy. The quality of the ad you use can make or break ANY campaign regardless of how good the ad source is.

Most publications will just take your money no matter how bad your ad or offer! So be careful.

Once you have a proven solo ad, and you know where there are some good lists to run it to, you can be sitting on top of a gold mine for the right sales or home biz offer! Just keep
running ads until that ad no longer pulls for you, then start the process all over again.


OTHER TYPES OF MARKETING

Network Marketing
There are a couple of very good networking sites which work quite well. Adland Pro is a very unique community of internet professionals for you to network with and learn from. You will find a bit more personal networking site where you can network and socialize with like minded people, advertise any product or business for free, and be matched with other people seeking the same benefits. Yahoo Groups

Join Groups, such as Yahoo Groups at http://groups.yahoo.com and Google groups, http://www.google.com/help/faq_accounts.html some of my more successful posts we at one of these these groups. Sign up for as many as you can keep up with, but set up a special email account at google (gmail) http://www.gmail.com or Yahoo mail http://mail.yahoo.com/ If you do join any of these groups, be prepared for tons of mail, which is why I recommend a separate Email account.

Search Engines, Banners, Buttons, Links

These can be worthless, especially if you are new to online marketing! I would certainly insist that you start with e-zine advertising.



Flyer Marketing

Be careful with these, there are a lot of places it is against the law, or you need a permit to post flyers, especially when considering putting them on cars! Think of any public place that has a bulletin board. Laundry rooms, apartments, community college, employment offices, coffee shops, etc.. Always carry these and the business cards with you, you never know when the opportunity will present itself to present your flyer and/or business card. Maximize your bang for the buck, use flyers that have "pull off tabs" at the bottom which you just cut yourself so people don't walk off with your whole flyer.

Hardcopy Mail (through the post office)

This is the one way you should contact your warm market. Just as if you started a shoe store, you would tell your friends and relatives, you want to inform them you have started your own home business, if for no other reason then because yours is a real business and you should not be ashamed of it. Your envelope should show your company name and url. The mail will pass through a lot of hands and the url will show them where to visit you online.

Blogging

Most blog sites like this one http://www.blogster.com will provide you with a free site for your blog. Start your blog and link together your website and blogsite. This provides you a whole new list of prospects.

Vist other blog sites and leave comments with a link back to your site. I'm not endorsing blog spamming! Actually visiting blogs, reading the posts and making relevant comments benefit both parties. The blog owner gets free content for his site and you get a link back to your site. You can do a Google search for blog sites. Choose among those with similar interests

Lead Capture

To use this type of marketing, you are going to have to have a web page. Many sales organizations and MLM companies have web sites for their reps - Very Few are what I would call marketing sites.

You need a web page that is going to capture info on your visitors before you give them "The Rest of The Story". For an example of that type of page see:

Notice the page does not give much information, but just encourages them to fill out the form for more info. We call that a "Lead Capture" page. Kiosk provides free “Lead Capture pages with their hosting packages and free autoresponders.

YOU MUST CAPTURE LEADS FROM YOUR PROSPECTS & FOLLOW UP ON
THEM TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITH ONLINE MLM OR MARKETING OF ANY
KIND.

One of the best ways to generate leads for your biz is to offer something of value for free. Always give them something for free in return for filling out your lead capture page

It is just Amazing to us how many try to send ones right to their sites with no way to capture info on the customer. In other words, unless they order, you have no way to follow up on the person. Stats show that most of us don't buy when we first visit a site. That is where follow-up comes in. Fortunately, on the net most of your follow-up can be automated to help weed out the tire kickers. This should run on auto-pilot to free you from the mundane.

Pay-Per-Click

Once you have your solo ad campaign up and running, and your home biz is starting to show a profit, you will be tempted to spend the money - BUT DON'T! At first you should invest any income right back into your business. At this point, you may want to start trying some other ad sources. Pay-Per-Click works just like it sounds. You get listed in the search engine, but you pay Each time someone clicks on your link. Instead of waiting to get listed on Yahoo, Netscape or other big engines, you can use a Pay-Per-Click and get listed right away - but you do have to pay for it.

ADD LINKS TO YOUR WEB SITES AND ARTICLES

JOIN AFFILIATE PROGRAMS TO GENERATE REVENUE

Once you have your own web site you can join affiliate programs and add those stores to your web site These are the companies that represent pay per click programs, examples are:

BUY TRAFFIC & GET FREE TRAFFIC

There are many traffic-type programs out there that will help you to get visitors to your site. In addition to earning free visits, most of them offer really inexpensive traffic that you can purchase.

Traffic programs normally work with Pop-Ups, and Pop-Under type ads. These are just ads that pop up when you visit or leave a web site.

A pop under window is just one that pops up under your browser window. You may not even notice it until you start to shut your browser (IE, Netscape, AOL or whatever program you use to look at the net is your browser) down.

With traffic type programs, you can earn free traffic by visiting other folks' sites, or for each time someone else's web site is popped Up or Under on your web site. You can
also earn visitors to your site by referring others to the traffic program.

These programs all have their own policies. For instance, some will not let you advertise a page that has another pop-up on it Some don't care, or they say you can have 1 pop up
and not 2. (Which is all you should ever have on a page anyway - don't you just hate it when you go to a site and 3, 4, 5, or even more windows start popping up? One is enough!)

HERE IS A SUMMARY OF THIS ARTICLE

When it comes to lead generation, just as in sales, it is a numbers game. Just do the Numbers to get more traffic and leads. Have a follow-up system in place, and watch your MLM or sales-type program grow!

(1) It all starts with LEAD CAPTURE from you web page. You need a Lead Capture page that has a high conversion rate. In other words, a high percentage of your visitors will take the time to fill out your form. SEND ALL YOUR TRAFFIC to this page first! Use this page in your ezine and other type ads too.

You also need an effective solo ad that will pull people to your lead capture page. If your ad is no good, you have lost before you get started

Offer something free for filling out your form (like an eBook)

(2) Solo ads to e-zines are the #1 tool to use in your marketing efforts. Choose ones that have to do with home biz or are related to the type of offer you have.

For instance, if you are pushing a Health product, you may want to advertise in Health-related e-zines. There are e-zines on every subject imaginable, so no matter what you are
trying to sell, there are e-zines and newsletters out there that cater to your market.

(3) Generate and purchase some traffic with the traffic-type programs mentioned above.

(4) Add other marketing techniques as your home biz starts to generate income. Use: blogging, flyers, business cards, hard mail and Google or Yahoo Groups. Don't spend your profits, at least not at first. You should consider investing Everything right
back into your business and then some as it starts to grow. Once it is cash-flowing above and beyond your marketing costs, take a vacation, and then come back ready to do some
more work!
